CBF recognition

15-07-2017
On 1 July 2017, Happy Watoto was given status as a recognized charity. Recognised charities must meet the strict quality guidelines set out by the Dutch regulatory body CBF. Having recognized status means that doors that were previously closed to us are now open.

Having been in close contact with CBF over the past year, we received our recognition in July 2017. CBF maintains uniform requirements for all charity organisations, with a view to achieving maximum transparency. In other words: CBF is convinced that we handle our money wisely, and communicate clearly about our activities.

Recognition means that in terms of management and financial accountability, Happy Watoto measures up to the standards of the leading charitable organisations. CFB recognition will, for example, make it possible for us to appeal to national institutions such as the Nationale Postcode Loterij (national lottery).
