fluoride problem gets attention

The drinking water in the Mount Meru area has a very high concentration of fluoride. This has been a problem at Ngorika for years. Recently we have increased our water supply by using our own source of water, located in Lerai, as well as a fluoride filter. This makes us the first school in Tanzania to filter its own water. This Saturday we organized an information meeting at Ngorika for parents and local residents. Not only did we give a professional presentation, we also used dance and a play to show that a witch doctor does not prevent you from getting brown teeth and curved legs. The meeting was well-visited, and the response was highly positive.
