unexpected visit at Ngorika

Marion sent the board in the Netherlands the following message: “This morning we had a surprise visit from the school inspection, which is very unusual as they are normally announced in due time. The three inspectors had heard about the remarkable results at our school. During the second mock exams, we were the best of the entire ward. We had just heard about it ourselves as well, and the school inspection wanted to know how this was possible. Ha! Cheating wasn’t possible, well, nearly impossible, anything is possible in this country… and so they thought they would be able to bust us if they came so unexpected. In the meantime, Maurice, Nola, Sophia, Mary, Yacintha, Nicodemus, Sussana, Martina, Walther, volunteer Arlessa and I were in the middle of discussing when and how to teach the children the alphabet, which method we would use, etc. This meant a new training for the teachers as well. They hadn’t expected to need so much structure in such a short time, or the need to be so going into so many details either. When I explained to the inspection that almost every teacher has their own method of writing, which could be confusing for the students, they agreed. They left after 3 hours, everything takes time here, and a woman who joined them asked us how to apply to our school. That is just amazing, I have to admit. That’s why I have written this here, so you can enjoy this exciting feeling with me.”
